Hi there!

The editors of IK iMessenger have previously during the autumn described this year's closing field work in the Arctic Ocean. For all participants it was an intense experience of constantly floating fog banks over sea and land along the west coast of Spitsbergen.

In this issue, we have the pleasure of presenting the Initial Field Reports, which span over wide fields – from securing the massive data collected via the Field station and preparing for the final dismantling of the station, to measuring for quaternary geological observations on the evolution of a beach system. As well as enjoying the collaborative work of the participating Field artist and Field composer.

The Bridge Builder Expeditions – Spitsbergen will complete its field work in the Arctic waters during 2020, then we will begin the extensive work on creating a monograph within the series Mundus Linnæi and an international exhibition, both of which are scheduled to be finalised by winter 2021/2022.
