Hi there!
Books & Prints from The IK Foundation are independently published in order to stimulate thinking about Natural and Cultural History. We are proud that our books are used in more than 120 countries from national reference collections to private libraries around our world.
In addition to the printed publications, we also offer a free digital advanced service where, for example, books, indexes etc are available to everyone. A service that is used daily by researchers and schools, for example – especially valuable is the possibility of being able to translate the texts from books directly into over 100 languages, even if the translation is basic, it opens up new knowledge for those who are looking for something specific!
As an independent non-governmental organisation, IK is dependent on collaboration with others to fund our long-term projects and missions. How this works can be read more about on our dedicated page BECOME A PHILANTHROPIST. However, IK has always quietly worked with philanthropy in two directions! The second way for us for instance, is to donate publications to places where we think they can be useful and just stimulate new thoughts about Natural and Cultural History.
We are therefore pleased to announce today a unique limited OFFER IN THE FORM OF A DONATION to you who is an organisation, school, library or institution of the monumental book series The Linnaeus Apostles Global Science & Adventure. The donation is Box One only, which contains the following volumes: Volume Two (Book One & Two), Volume Three (Book One, Two & Three), Volume Five and Volume Six – together they cover geographical areas in: Europe, Arctic, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Antartica, North & South America. You can read more about the books in THE COMPLETE CATALOGUE.
The following rules apply to the above listed recipients:
- If you wish to receive the above books in donation and meet the recipient criteria as well as the following points below, please write briefly about who you are, what the books will be used for, how many boxes you wish and your address. Use IK's CONTACT PAGE.
- The donation may not be sold, but it will be possible to use as gifts for students or researchers.
- Any customs and local VAT is the recipient's responsibility to pay.
- IK would have liked to pay for the shipping of the book box, but is unfortunately not able to do so. Based on your address, IK will contact you for a fixed lowest price of the shipping – which must be confirmed by you. The shipping cost is paid by you in advance via an eInvoice from IK.
- This global offer is open from today until 30 November in 2020.
IK wishes no quid pro quo – but would be happy to hear from the recipients with a picture or a short story about how the donation was used – this is what we call a genuine scholarly not-for-profit publishing cooperation to Promoting Natural & Cultural History.
