Hi there!

Being generous can mean a lot; people and organisations naturally have various views on what it is ”to be generous”! Within IK and especially within the IK Workshop Society, we have chosen as far as possible to be democratic with what we do, that is, to share the results we create in its many different forms in different ways.

Although IK offers many digital resources, we are also old-fashioned by keeping our books in stock to make them available for interest to order worldwide. The picture shows one of our bookstores, built entirely of natural materials and with an environmentally friendly operation.

That is why the entire IK Workshop Society works under a Creative Commons license that allows all – and it should be emphasised all (sic) – to participate in the exciting world of a wide range of projects that IK works on within Natural & Cultural History. In addition, those who sign up for iFellowship also have the opportunity to be generous by adding their own knowledge to different subjects, a kind of ”double generosity.”

In addition, iFellows receive a 15% discount on all publications sold in BOOKS & ART. In most cases, these books would not have been possible to publish unless IK had collaborated with generous philanthropists decade after decade, so here is another proof of what it can mean to be generous, a kind of recycled generosity to spread knowledge!

For nearly four decades, The IK Foundation has been working to renew the perception of research and disseminate the results obtained via various projects. Without a generous and democratic view, this would not have been possible. In 2025, IK’s digital services and sites will start with updating work and become even more generous to meet the future in the best way and show that generosity is the winner in the long run. Therefore, we hope that more people will become iFellows and that our backers will continue to be part of this work.

iFellowship is open to individuals over 18 years of age and organisations – and it is free. EXPLORE MORE...
